catching klover
catching klover could have been a pop rock band or another indie surf rock band, but when they started putting tracks together, they knew they wanted to start a movement and write from the heart. klover’s musical inspirations in Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers meet a modern era of poetic gloom following bands like Fontaines D.C. and IDLES . After touring the world, chasing different careers, and living all over the country, the members have returned to their jagged punk rock roots with a politically charged angst in defiance of the oppression reminiscent of the country’s political state of the 90’s.
The band formed like Saturn returning to its home position in the universe, and in this metaphor, the home position is America’s finest city: San Diego, California. It was a natural progression of musical maturity that developed the band into the four artistic minds that comprise the band today. Kevin Charles Macaraeg leads the band with Deegan Mitchell on the drums, Denning Crenshaw on the bass, and Sam Schulze on guitar.
Their early growth has been critical, selling out shows already without any music released. Their trajectory of live music follows their debut show at The Banshee, to San Diego’s legendary venue The Casbah, to their biggest headline at Soda Bar scheduled for March 2026. Forever grateful, forever faithful, forever true, catching klover is working hard to develop a sound that’s just as super charged in rock clubs as it is festival-ready.
