Chloe Kibble

Eluding the confines of any one style, Chloe Kibble embraces her love for all Black music as she shares her craft with Tokyo. Originally from Nashville, TN, Chloe grew up in a gospel/jazz-filled household. Her father a founding member of multi-Grammy award winning acapella group Take6 and her mother a former gospel singer. Chloe began her music career at Brown University with a jazz/hip-hop/RnB fusion band and continued performances with her peers in NYC.

Chloe cites Esperanza Spalding, Brandy, and Erykah Badu as stylistic influences, and seeks to experiment more with jazz, neo-soul, and folk sounds. She acknowledges her Black and queer identities at the core of her music, and seeks to provide a healing space and cultural bridge while in Japan. In Tokyo, Chloe has been supporting established artists such as Toku, session work with J-pop giants SEKAI NO OWARI and YOASOBI, writing and performing with the band PAJAUMI.
